Typhoon or Houndstooth?

Looks like I'm getting a crap load of cash back from the government, and I've been given permission to get the gun of my dreams, within limits.

I'm a little torn between pump or semi - I'm really leaning towards another PPS gun, most likely a Typhoon, or a Houndstooth. I love playing pump, but there are those days where you just get sick of getting overshot and feel like giving it back a little. How are the pump kits for the Typhoon? Feel pretty good? And how's the Tooth? Really nice pump?

All more than likely going to be used - can't really afford a brand-new one from PPS.

“But Lord,” asked Gabriel, “Is this not too generous to these Canadians?”

And God replied, “Just wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them.”

Used is the way to go when yu are on a budget. Heck you might even be able to buy a Typhoon and a Houndstooth that would suite your needs for under a thousand dollars.

How about a Typhoon with a pump kit? That way you can easily switch between semi and pump.

Kind of what I'm thinking - I just need to find a nice Typhoon for the right price.

That gets my vote. That way, the answer to the question is 'Yes.'

Nasty H/Ts run about $700 for a bare-bones model. You could hook one up with nice elbows/feedtubes, some muzzlebreaks, nifty grips/pump, and cool plating job or powdercoat, all for <$1000.

I've currently got one being built with that in mind...

If you like pump, get a Houndstooth, if you like semi/mech get a typhoon. Custar has a phoon for sale here on MCB. I would think you should be able to pick up a used phoon around $300-$400 and a Houndstooth is about $430 new w/ vented barrel (unless PPS has raised prices). Houndstooth do not sell very often here, you may be able to get one in really good shape in the $350 range. Check here and keep and eye on ebay!

If you like stockclass, get a SS!
