Those were the VL-200.
They were the non-electro version of the VL-2000

The original VL-2000 had an external motor, which hooked to plastic mounts. The non-electro VL-200 has the same mounts, minus the motor.

The caps were designed to be compatable with the VL-90, which had a small aftermarket designing interchangle add-ons, extensions, covers, etc. So one of those might have an aftermarket VL-90 cap?

The one on the right looks like a cap that would actually hold together. Nice.

In a way, those original VL-200's remind me of those modern Pinochio hoppers.
They used to make 100rnd "extensions" that were nothing more then a really long cap that stuck out the front.

I, being cheap, tried to make my own homemade version by ducktaping a waterbottle where the cap goes. Actually, i think it was a urine-sample bottle... (probobly a bad thing to get confused!). All that weight, though, made it impossible to feed.

The plastic was very beeft, compared to modern VL-200's, though the lids were a thin, fragile plastic, that apparently became very brittle when in contact with paint from paintballs.
