Hi everyone

how many types of 8" barrel are out there?

So far i only know of the:

freak back + doc tips
lapco 8"
miltec 8"
smart part venturi
armson pro 8"
armson stealth 8"
palmer brass

Is there any other one out there?


I finally got a machinist to make my barrel sleeve for the current mag that i am building and also to do custom milling on the battery pack. The thing is the barrel sleeve is going to go over the barrel, mount maybe to the rail and flow together with the phoenix body. So i want a good barrel that doesn't cost too much, bore size doesn't matter, just over bore, since accuracy is not a big factor...if you can't shoot them with 1 paintball shoot them with 2....and i am usually playing with field paint and old paint anyway...so bore doesn't make a different at all.

is there any way to get one of the doc stubby tips for a freak back? aside from being lucky enough to see one for sale?

I think he still makes them, and I believe White Wolf airsmithing does a few close to his.

As for barrels, dont forget the old stock autococker barrels, I have a 8 inch, no ported, black barrel that came stock on my 1996 model.

it may be on the list already, (i forgot to look on the way down to foughtwolf's post) but LAPCO made a limited run (we're talking about 18 i believe) of 8 inch microshots for a pump team here.

J&J Edge kit has an 8" tip, and CCI has an 8" barrel also.
