I remember just calling it "tubed" when Spanky's was still around. No idea if it's the official nomenclature or not.

they overdrilled the body and inserted the chrome tubes. bad thing was if they were misaligned or the glue didn't set right, there were real problems. a competant airsmith could try making a tubed body, but I would not want to be the first in line.
