| grand pooh-bah of nothing Join Date: Mar 2006 | Mine used large pistol primers and did have a small anvil that went into each round under the metal cup that the primer was pressed into with the open end towards the rear of the round. Always had issues with the plastic rounds cracking and the balls not breaking on anything, but lots of fun to startle somebody with a burst from the thing ...

LYMAN instructions for reloading PARA-ORDNANCE M-85... tools needed: 3/16 wide slotted screwdriver 5/16 open end or box wrench soft faced hammer Winchester Large Pistol Primers then further into the instructions in bold caps it says (CAUTION: USE ONLY WINCHESTER LARGE PISTOL PRIMERS) again, if .410 shotgun primers work for you, have at it but it's not what's recommended. atleast not in the info i have. i'd like to see your info where it says to use them... and i'm not talking about what the previous owner said he used. Adam45, i'll get some photos and post them in this thread for you. | |
