| MCB Member Join Date: Aug 2007 Location: San Diego CA | Anno question i'm starting a pump project that will - hopefully - end with a custom anno. the body is on the way already so i'm looking for a grip frame, reg, on/off asa, and possibly a barrel kit that will - eventually- be anno'd a new color. my question is, since these parts will be re-anno'd, do they have to be in pristine condition, or will the anno process hide/cover up small flaws (scratches, nicks, etc)? if a barrel is done, what about the porting or the inside of the barrel? any advice? |

| Ultimate Battle Monkey Z | Anno will not cover scratches etc.. Howver, the beadblasting to get a dust finsh will cover a multitude of sins. If you have your anodizer polish the project for a gloss finish they will of course polish out any issues. So the answer is no and yes. No, anodizing doesn't hide any flaws, but yes, the procedure usually leading up to anodizing probably will.
