I have a friend who just moved to the SF area. He's wanting to get back into paintball along with his son. What are some good fields/stores in the area?

TAG has been around for a long time (mid 80's). I think they're still open.

Micah M. from XSV has a field in Davis. I know my friends all had a good time at that field when they attended the Mil-Sim Alpha game.

I don't know if the field is still open Vallejo. They used to hold the Great Western tourney there every year. The brush was pretty thick & I have good memories of that place.

Maybe he could try the regional section and get more answers from NoCal players.

These guys are great! Just don't trust SpyyMarket1978 to KEEP A SECRET though.

And don't forget the monthly pump games in Sac.

-Venture Games Paintball, Clayton, CA (Concord area) - great woodsball/scenario field.

-Sherwood Forest Paintball, American Canyon, CA (Vallejo) - nice, small woodsball and speedball field

-Bear Creek Pursuit Paintball, Los Gatos Hills, CA (San Jose area) - very fun woodsball field.

-Bay Area Paintball, Millbrae, CA (near SFO airport) - expensive but conveniently located speedball field.

-Sunol Paintball, Union City, CA (Fremont/Hayward area) - crappy speedball fields.

-Paintball Jungle, American Canyon, CA (right next door to Sherwood Forest Paintball) - most popular field in the Bay, but very expensive. Huge woodsball field, NPPL style airball field.

Yeah. I'm a pump day regular as well. Just have your friend troll the site and introduce himself. I post before I go play... Lately I've gone to Sacramento, Tahoe, and I'm off to Gurenville (sp?) this weekend. I prefer low-key games, but I've also played at Sherwood forest and had a blast.

The guy at San Francisco PB center is kind of arrogant and I refuse to patronize his store. I went twice and both times I was put off because either I played pump, or I wasn't buying some $1500 electro from him... Do what you like, but I try to steer people away from there.

Also, just found THIS FIELD LOCATOR on The Nation.... looks helpful.

How old is his son? My daughter is 15 and joins us at pump day... perhaps we could arrange a day to all meet...

Sunol really isn't that bad.

Come out and see us in Sacramento. Sac Pump Day is mandatory of course. Take it from me, not that poser Mike31c, as he's only been twice.

Plus we have the best woodsball field in the area (with the absolutely worst staff, but anyhow), Action Paintball.

if you're able to get on a military base or know some one that can there is a good field at Travis AFB in Fairfield. Paintball Jungle in vallejo is also pretty good.
