Midget cocker springing

So I've got my cocker project up and running and I'm looking for a baseline from other people who have midgeted cockers.

How do you have yours sprung? At the moment I have a red maddman valve spring and the stock WGP spring in the marker. If the marker is uncocked when gassed it vents down the barrel something nasty - there is a lot of tension on the hammer, the gun can't cock at full bodied LPR pressures. What I'm looking for is a baseline on the number of loops to trim off the stock spring to get a decent start, I have the rest of the Maddman kit but I'd rather not start trimming those just yet, as I don't have access to a chrono at home.

I know someone on here sells or includes a midget length spring with their halfblock kits so if possible I'd appreciate the number of coils and the comparable Maddman spring. IIRC the spring was green.

Thanks for the help I'd love to get this thing shooting nice,
Penguin
