I have a post 2k PGP. It worked great for months, then it got dropped. It landed on the knob on the back of the bolt. After that, it wouldn't pierce 12grams. I disassembled it, lost the tiny safety spring, reassembled it with the safety removed.
Now the odd part:
When there is no 12gram inside, it cycles fine. When I put in a 12g, the hammer won't catch on the sear, no matter how hard I slam the pump back. If I cock it with no 12 gram, then put one in, it doesn't pierce all the way usually. I have to remove the 12g, cock it again, insert the 12g, and shoot again, then it pops open. After that though, I still can't cock the hammer back.
So my guess is I need a new pierce pin, or to at least sharpen mine (haven't had time to crack it open again yet), but what would cause the hammer problem? I tried moving the inner screw of the RVA all over the place, that didn't do anything. Should I have the RVA screwed all the way into the body, or should I leave it out a few turns? Would it still mount to the gripframe fine?

Id say your valve has come appart/unthreaded. Its tough to say. Also a bit confused when you are talking about the RVA, the whole assemble itself should be threaded into the body of the gun completely, the rva set screw then is used to adjust dwell. Without seeing the gun its hard to say givin the information you have provided.
