I had one go on the Skirmish bus, too, only I had it in my pocket at the time. I thought the 12 year old kid sitting next to me was going to crap himself, but I was too busy dancing around trying to get it out of my pants before it froze to my leg to worry about him...

I was driving home last week after getting a box of tanks filled and one popped. I pulled the car over and the so did the person behind me. He said he saw a puff of white come out of my trunk and wanted to see if I needed help.

As Mullet in another thread here just found out do not ever try to grab a venting CO2 tank with your bare hand. It's so cold after venting for a few seconds that it'll actually burn your skin. Be sure to use a shirt, rag, or whatever to hold it or move it while it's venting. Even a thin layer will insulate well enough to avoid skin damage.
