Regulated CO2?

If one were to run pre-regulated CO2 (with the regulator set to say, 8-850 PSI) into an AT-85, would the marker be able to function properly? I can't remember if the recommendation for HPA only was because of pressure fluctuations, freezing the built-in reg, or something else entirely.

It's not so much the high-pressure it's the low-pressure and low temp as you use up the expanded CO2. As the pressure gets lower coming in the regulated pressure for the pneumatics goes up. Combine the higher pneumatic pressure with the lower temp and you start to get leaks.

Thanks! I guess in this marker, we obey the laws of thermodynamics.
