Best way to fix mag chain

is best to take it out and fix it or just turn and fix at top? Some reason my gun does not want to shoot. I turn the crank and it feels some what choppy... Would it be that? Is it possible to just buy a chain? thanks...

The chain is the most expensive part to the magazine, $48 for the chain with cushions. I would suggest using a pair of needle nosed pliers to make sure the links are open. They tend to compress right in front of and behind the weld for the lug.

I will be sending the gun off to u on monday or tuesday Gumby.

I am having a problem with the chain staying on the idler now. any thoughts why it would be slipping of when turning the crank?

thanks...

Same reason you are already having. As the links compress they get closer together and form a ramp. At first it will bind or catch on the idler as it goes by, but once the links are tighter than the thickness of the idler instead of grabbing they ramp over it.
