There is a difference between the two gases that affect the operation. If you use CO2 and F/A you can pull off all the pressure and begin to draw liquid into the gun. Once this happens the spool seals shrink slightly producing a leak. This will also drop your incoming pressure which increases your regulated pressure and increases the leak. It basically puts the snowball at the top of the hill and gives it a little push down.
I understand the statments above, but is it that you can't use CO2 at all on some of them or that it's just Really not recommended especially with rull auto?

I thought I saw some place were the AT10 for example had two different setups listed one was for HPA and one was for CO2 the CO2 one was listed as no longer available. Not trying to argue just looking to understand. If I were to buy one to I need to worry about getting a system designed for CO2 not HPA?

The current ATS marker is really no longer compatible with CO2, While yes some of the old ATS/TS1 could go either way. CO2 proved to be a major cause of some of the early issues TagLine had with reliability.
CO2 if used on the current System will destroy/corrode some of the internal seals not to mention cause stalls (which can lead to tons of other problems). Anything you see about CO2 on the ATS is old and out dated information and should be considered such.

All the newer models are HPA and the consensus seems to be that converting older models to HPA is the way to go. The upgrade is pretty inexpensive at about $50.

Next in Greens book of a million questions is if you buy a used one how do you tell the differance between set up for HPA or set up for CO2?

Look under its' tail....

No really look into the ASA and if there is a brass filter it is set-up for CO2. Serial numbers can help too, anything starting A2**** is HPA.

Thank you. Couple more questions

Barrel Threading I'm guessing is unique to ATS Markers?

Velocity Adjustment is on the bolt like many other Nelsons or by a reg?

Yes barrels are unique, it is .835-20THD for the major and .760-56THD for the unisizer ones.

Velocity can be adjusted either way. The primary is the bolt face with a supplied tool, but if you can adjust your input pressure you can also change your velocity that way.

Freak inserts, python compression system are available from LT. You'll find custom barrels every once in a great while by J&J, BOA and some others.

The ATS stock barrels are great on their own.

ok I think thats all the questions I have for now anyway. I want to thank everyone here for the input.

I'm sure I'll be asking more of the same old questions you here every times someone finds out about ATS markers soon.

Ok so here comes more of the same old dumb questions. Please educate me about reloading these things, how long does it take, do the mags (or frontloaders) hold up pretty well, not fall out? How does loading change with the frontloaders and are they only available for the AT85?
