body wobble

Hey guys, anyone else having a wobble on their R7? The thumb screw in the front is screwed in all the way, and also tightened as much as I can tighten it with a hex wrench. But I seem to be getting a lot of side to side wobble from it. ANd it is noticeable when snap shooting, the thing tends to wobble enough that it is noticeable after a while. I just wanted to know if it is normal and if anyone else has experienced the same?

Nope. The grey bodies got dipped three times. There is a little body wobble on mine too

But it is not so bad that I can notice it in game. Only really if I try to feel for it.

And this is a perfectly crafted marker. I am just wondering if the wobble is typical. My OCD is going nuts. lol

It isn't noticeable with the top tube off, but with the heavy top tube on, it is.

Ah ok, perfect! Thank you for letting me know. I guess practicing my snap shot with it at home is noticeable, but I can't wait to play with it on the field. It shouldn't be noticeable, I was just worried if my body had some problem with it.

I'll suggest the same thing that I did to someone else that had stripped threads. Get the S/S inserts from Airsoldier and have a machine shop tap and install them.

hmm if it's survived you tightening that screw down with allen wrench, the threads must be intact and doing pretty well... take the frame off the gun and see if there is any dirt between em. barring that, the gunmetal Retros do have a looser fit at the back between receiver and valve body, you can fix that with some masking tape (which isn't visible once assembled). give that a shot and you will definitely see an improvement. cut a strip of tape 1/4" wide and wrap it around the valve body where it goes into the body, one or two layers should do.

Thank you, Josh! I will definitely give the tape a try!

EDIT: It definitely did help! Thank you!
