So.. I just snagged a MINT Classic Timmy and a bunch of parts for a steal, but Ive never owned a Timmy before. Im wondering what kind of output pressure I should set my tank at to get this old gal shooting butter-smooth? The manual recommends a tank output of 500psi, but Ive heard rumors of standard [850psi] output being workable without damaging the system? I know its worth noting, I am NOT running an external reg at the moment, as I am wrking with VERY limited funds, and cannot afford one. Its bad enough I have to by a new mask after spending $591 to get glasses [for the first time]. |

IF it still has the factory HPR a medium or high pressure will be fine. If the HPR has be converted to a volly & a vertical HPR has been put on, a medium or high pressure output tank will work. IF it has no HPR period, get one before gassing up. 1st Generation Intimidator HPR/LPR Rebuild Guide An article I wrote some time back that should be of some use for you. 1st Generation Intimidator HPR/LPR Rebuild Guide

Thank you for all of your help good sir. All of that information is seriously greatly appreciated! I believe it is still in the original HPR/LPR configuration, but I will be confirming this once the actual marker arrives. |
