G6R issues out of the box

ASA pin is too long, doesn't degas the marker when on/off is turned to open position.

ASA pin o-ring was DESTROYED out of the box, got a leak with replacement o-ring that was included as well.

CRAZY breech breaks, ball clipping and whatnot.
Have tried several paint brands, no issues with others markers with that same paint (Geo2, GZ 2k2 Timmy, CCM S6). Also tried using a different loader, didn't help (rotor and Z2). There is no way anyone could compete/play tournaments using these settings the gun came with, unless youre competing who chops the most paint.

Gun chronoed at 240 MAX (tried 2 brands of paint, 3 sizes of barrel backs) out of the box. Came with a card saying it shot 276, I guess our indoor field temperatures are too low or something. Got the velocity up to normal after adjusting both LPR and HPR.

When I called BLAST they told me every gun is tested.
NOT IMPRESSED

I can fix the too long pin issue by removing the bottom ASA screw preventing the travel (and managed to strip the threads in the process). I can use other o-rings on the pin to make a proper seal but how do I keep my paint coming out of the barrel intact? Any tips/tricks?

It's a real shame since I love how the gun feels and how smooth it shoots.

Tip/trick: Send it back to the shop for warranty service before you start taking it apart.

Especially good advice since I'm from Finland. Paying $30-40 for one way shipping and waiting for 3 weeks to get the gun back isn't my thing.

Believe it or not I tech guns at work (certified for PE and DYE) and I'd like to think I know what I'm doing. That ASA bottom screw comes with fine threading, it didn't use any extra torque to screw it back in. ASA problems are now "fixed" (still would like to get a factory replacement) but the chopping/clipping issue isn't. I was hoping some of you might know how to fix that issue, that is why I asked for your advice.

you could contact BLAST and see about a replacement ASA. Sounds to me like you got a first batch marker somehow as they were the only ones with the ASA issues.

As for chopping im wondering if your eyes are malfunctioning or if perhaps your ramcap isnt tightened enough? I broke the oring that goes around my ramcap, and while playing it loosened which caused my gun to half cycle, burp, sputter and just blend till I found out that the cap came out. Tightened it back up and it shot like normal again.

You can't expect perfection on every gun when a product is produced in such large numbers, but I understand your frustration.

My friend's G6r has the similar issues with the ASA. The first batch did.

Yes you can, especially for the price they charge. It's unexceptable for any product to leave the manufacturer with any sort of defect. That's what Quality Control is for.

Eyes work.
Gun cycles and fires as it should, it's not acting funny at all.
It just breaks excessive amounts of paint in the breech area and the bolt seems to clip the ball that is next in line to be fired for some reason?

What kind of loader are you using, on what force setting (if applicable)? What kind of paint are you using, and what is temperature outside?

Those factors can cause breech breaks in a wide range of guns without there being a problem in the manufacture of the gun or a maintenance issue.

If you're so convinced the gun has manufacturing defects, knowing how to tech your own guns won't correct that problem. Call BLAST, tell them you want a replacement or refund and that they are going to pay the shipping fee.

Then go buy a locally made gun, like Regency Chrome.

Might I suggest you read the original post before making assumptions.
Thank you for the tip of buying a chrome, already got a Geo2 and prefer it over Regency's products.

Ok, sorry.

So, my question is, why are you waiting your time on this gun, considering it is so awful?
