g6r basic leak question
Ok gents... let me start off with this: i got a G6r in a trade... i dont know a ton about it. It has a leak when aired up... sounds like its coming from right under the bolt. If i push the bolt forward it shifts the sound of the leak (sounds more like its coming from the ram then).
So i pulled out the bolt, swapped all 3 orings (its a tech-t bolt... dont know if that matters), pulled out the ram and replaced the two orings, then cleaned and lightly lubed everything with PE grease. holy crap it was filthy in there.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

def sounds like it is coming from the ram. Honestly, though, get a hold of Bob and get a stock bolt.
Yes, DOW 55 is a must

please never put ****ty eclipse grease on anything superior like bob long markers.. if you need 55 hit me up i probably have some extra

Only TriFlow on the bolt Orings. Dow 55 on everything else except the little ASA Oring on the 2011. It can possibly swell that Oring and cause a rip in it if not upgraded to the later model Asa pin.
Get a pressure tester. It's the best thing for G6Rs and their continued reliability.
