Question Brass Eagle Raptor Valve Stem needed

Hi,

I have been asked to fix up /make a green Raptor from a bin of Raptor junk. I have most parts except for a valve stem and cup seal. Any ideas on where I can locate one or two of them?

Cup seal is nothing unique, one for any BE gun, PMI semi, Spyder, heck certain year Egos even will fit. (true story, we once took a cup seal out of a Talon to fix an Ego7, totally shocked a bunch of the guys at the shop)

Valve stem is tricky. Supplies at my usual parts resources seem to have dried up.

A round valve stem from an Avenger/Genesis/a dozen other BE/VL guns might fit, but I can't say for sure. Similar style valve, but not the same size, so length and diameter might be off.

I might be able to do a comparison tomorrow sometime, I'd have to strip down one of my Raptors and dig out a BE/VL parts kit I know I have somewhere.

Speaking of Raptor junk, got any extra sears? I need like 3 of them. I have 4 Raptors in the collection (Blue, Extreme, LTD2000, and the Rizaptor... don't ask) and only one good sear and one bad sear among the bunch. The two missing ones got donated to the local shop.

Let me check to see what I have in trigger internals. What is wrong with the bad sears.

Well, two are who knows where in someone else's guns somewhere in the area. Local shop had a few guns come in with totally bad sears, I lent them a few I had in guns I wasn't actively using at the time. They tried to get me new replacements but they couldn't source a supplier with out jumping through some very strict hoops. That's a story for another day. The one bad one I got has been reshaped a couple times and I doubt grinding away more will make it any better. They seem to loose temper a bit each time and get less and less hard.

Nope. I thought that an illustrator sear that I had would work. Nope. It's a different style. I will need to check a coffee can of crap that I inherited... But that won't be until Friday.

Fubarius is on the right track, I took his idea and cross referenced against a couple of BE/VL that were on hand(Orion/ZXS 400/Triton) against my Silver Eagle Raptor and they were all the same length and diameter.

Looks like any of the WalMart specials could be donors.

copy. I will see what I have in junkers...

Just a note, I thought walmart seals and stems were not separate - able. The seal is molded around the valve stem.

Reference to WalMart specials was for the lower end markers such as BE/VL that I mentioned, I don't ever recall seeing any of these at a pro shop, these were usually marketed as an entry level marker for a lower price point and made available through big box retail chains.

Sorry if this caused any confusion.
