If you feel comfortable, yes. I think it's definitely a permanent solution. You'll want to go VERY slow, taking material off of the tail end of the sear where it drops down.

I got all new internals for the buzzard. Now I really think this sear might not have been machined right, or something. The bolt stops a good 1/4" short of the end of the slot, if you push it even slightly it will AT.

SHould I just file down the sear?
No - do not file the sear. Earon will tell you to increase the distance of the sear (before it hits the trigger plate) by placing the whole body (of which the sear sits in) it in a vice and tapping the sear only with a ball pin hammer. You will not need to do this by very much - 2 folder paper thickness at a time. Yes Earon adjusts this ever so slightly in this manner. Assemble the marker try it and start all over again. This way, if you make a mistake you can easily correct it by tapping the sear in the opposite direction. When you are done, go ahead and polish it and it will break smooth.

Sorry. What trigger do you have? Is it the one shaped like a banana? Or a slide trigger?
