AC threads for Buzzard Snub.

Has anybody machined or re-threaded their buzzard snub to accept an autococker barrel. Someone once said that it has something to do with the machining tolerances with the threading?

I know some snubs can take both Carter and AC threaded barrels. I am not one of the lucky few.

they are all cocker threaded to my knowledge, some are just a bit tight.

Have you loosened your collar screws before trying to screw an AC barrel in?

Isnt the biggest issue being the bevel on the carter barrels that arent on most AC barrels as the bolt presses a bit into the barrel? Otherwise carter are already AC threaded, like others said the tolerances are super tight and you have to make sure you loosen the snub screws.

need the chamfer in inside of the barrel so the bolt will move all the way forward...if u just screw a regular AC barrel into a buzzard then then bolt wont move all the way forward as usual

I've owned two buzzards, a post dye and a pre-dye and both take cocker barrels just fine and shoot perfectly even without the bevel.

I have seen AC barrels come pre equipped with a beveled radius in them. Mostly older stock. The newer AC barrel stock usually are flush at the beginning of the breech.

I at some point acquired an SM1 kit for my first pre Dye Carter Buzz from Luis, and asked him to cut a Carter bolt radius bevel on it for me, which he does at no extra charge.

mailmanmike Since Monday! That's more than 4 hours though, so according to those cialis ads I should see my doctor.
tlane77 I think for a non-chemical chubby it's 6 hours before its time to see a doctor. So you should be good for another couple hours.
splattttttt I wasn't goin to google "chubbin" because I assumed it had to do with fat. The lard type, not the fun stuff. But what ever feelings Jeff's experiencing, then they must be of the fun like stuff...
