Allright, I'll keep this as short as possible. Bought a used phantom here 2 months ago, took it out of the box, aired it up, no leaks, shot fine (no paint). Fast-forward 1 month, I took out to play, air it up, no leaks, chrono, 270-260-280-250-260 etc... I grab my velocity ajusted, turn clockwise a small bit, pump a ball and a leak down to barrel. Gun shoot 150-160 for 4-5 ball then doesn't shoot and leaks down the barrel. Fast-forward another month, I disassemble it completely, check parts, oil the orings, slap it back together, air it up, leaks down the barrel, I shoot 4 times and then I can't pump it and it is still leaking. Problem is I don't know what to look for. ![]() Help please |

| it's not brain science ! |
sounds like a bad cup seal or the powertube and cup seal assembly are coming apart .

If its in too far, it'll leak down the barrel when you pump the gun. That should be the only time it leaks. If it leaks without touching it, you probably have a sealing/oring problem.

The valve nut is often the source of a leak that sounds like it's down the barrel. You can try tightening the valve nut or removing it and replacing the o-ring with a new one. A worn valve nut o-ring has the same effect as not tightening the valve nut enough. If you're having difficult tracking a leak down, remove the body, gas the gun up and put it under water, checking for bubbles. |

Allright i'm out of 12 grams i'm gonna buy some tomorrow but I finally managed to take a couple pictures, I had to wait for my dad to lend me his macro lens. Anyway here are the pictures. First, is it put together correctly ? This is how it was when it was leaking: ![]() ![]() This isn't broken/cracked: ![]() Everything seems normal here: ![]() I was using the one on the left (SSC mod ?): ![]() I was using the one the the left, this is what I turned (while in the bolt) to get higher FPS: ![]() Bolt itself, I don't know how to little plastic hex adjuster should be, the one the this bolt (which I was using) is screwed a little deeper then my spare bolt: |

You mean this ? ![]() This was screwed in EDIT: Or if you mean that the cup seal is the little plastic ring that fit's inside that brass part I don't see how it is ''Stuck'' since it is threaded on the power tube itself Last edited by Coastermaniac; 01-28-2012 at 11:44 PM. |
