Hey everyone, I was messing around with my Phantom today, and I put two #10 washers in the valve to give the valve spring some extra compression. Then I put in the blue main spring from CCI and found I could cock the gun without air in it. What does this mean? Is it good or bad? Just trying to learn more about the Phantom, its workings, and Nelsons in general. |

That is normal if you make the valve spring stiffer. Like the poster above me said, you may or may not achieve desirable playing velocity.

I'm running a blue main spring and a stock valve spring. Last weekend we played at an indoor with a field limit at 260 fps. I had to put a #10 washer in the the valve body as well. With my tpc flush I was shooting 250/260 with 12ies. I think you should be ok.
