Hi I am new to this site but i have always been very clever when it comes to mechanical things i was thinking of making my phantom a semi if you ever seen the clear airsoft guns that have a reciprocating mechanism in it i was thinking if you had the right lenght for the stroke of the phantom u could make the gun a semi- full auto paintball gun with all the greatness of these great paintball guns any suggestions or risk takers let me know what u think

It's been attempted before (though through different means, generally pneumatic auto-cocking before). All ran into the same issue with the phantom design. They're breech drop nelsons...


See the little step? At higher rates of fire the ball bouncing up that step leads to feeding issues. This is why all previous semi-auto nelson based gun used the bore drop design, as found on Line SI's, Trracers, Hammers, and others.
