Question The last stand before completion... Pt spring feed phantom

I love my phantom. But there is one thing I have been dying for that most components just aren't fung shooey enough for me. Yes, I meant to say that. There is one piece that fits my goal with minor modification, and looks right to me. Obviously this is a work in progress but I finally started the project, lol. Before I post the answer, can you guess what I am working on? It's rather specific to the component on hand...

Ok, I got this. I just shot about 100 balls with the setup without a single pinch or chop. I ramped the top of the bolt and polished it. Works nicely. Now I just need to mod the feed tube to allow reloading without removing the feed plug.

Pics to be added soon. Well anyway, here is the bolt ramp...

Spring feed? Looks like how the ariakon type pistol magazines attach.

By the looks of it, it has something to do with the feedtube which doesn't really make sense. Why would you want to raise your feedtube?

Now the real reason for me posting here. I see that you have some sort of clip\harness band under the grip. Do you use that to carry your phantom between games or is there another reason for having it? That is an intriguing idea, one that I might "lend" from you.

Seconding. Also intrigued about the carry strap.

I'm on the same page, but without the spring aspect. I figure he's gonna snag up a bunch of Ariakon/Warsensor/PT Xtreme magazines and remove the springs... No more 10rd tubes, ever, plus you've got tooless conversion to a centerfeed.

I figure Overlord and PTX mags would look best, and be the easiest to cut and replace with more attractive tubes if the guy wants to go that route.

I saw it at EMR pump pandemonium. He has a clip on his belt to hang the phantom on between games.

Donut ftw... Lol I wish.

Yes the d ring strap for just letting the gun hang. I will have to give a small write up on what I did there. It's actually pretty simple.

And spot on with the mag idea. Pt xtreme mags to be precise. I picked up a large lot of old spyder parts off of Doc and with it came 16 sight rails. Just what I was looking for for this project. And yes, it does sit high. Approximately half a ball to be precise. I plan to ramp the top of the bolt to help with chopping. The ASP detent mod sits too far forward to prevent the issue. Any other ideas?

Stilgar had a post somewhere about his flory fee having the same issue. Trying to find it now for you.
