I need your opinion

I got a new Phantom straight from Mike! Now I just can't decide which grip I like best.

Or Hogue Grips

Use whatever you find most comfortable. Take them both with you when you go to play and switch between them.

I have a Phantom and when I got it, it had the stock grips they were ok but I picked up a set of SP Wood grips and I love them. It's not that the stock grips were uncomfortable I just like Wood Grips. Now, I also have a set of Hogue's on my Sterling Jubilee and they are super comfortable, it's the only gun I have without Wood Grips!

I'd like to thank all of you for your input. The Hogue grips are supper comfortable. The stock grip isn't to bad. I kind of feel that it's just a bit to much pink. I bought the pink Hogue along time before I bought the gun. I had imagined it a little different. After talking with Mike (and a photo he sent me) I liked this setup better then what I first envisioned. I like the contrast of pink and black. To me it seems like it should have black grips. I'm tempted to order some black Hogue grips, should have put that into the poll. My wife likes the pink and they are starting to grow on me. So I'm looking for more input, my only concern is how it looks.

I know this topic isn't about this gun but I think the pink Hogue grip is bad *** on my black VSC.

I personally prefer the wrapped 45 grips. They're aluminum just like the rest of the gun and very comfortable. They also feel more solid in the hand than the stock grips do.

This is actually my first Phantom without the 45 grip frame. If I don't like it I'll order one from Mike and then put the appropriate contrasting black or pink wraparound Hogue grip on it. So if its a black 45 frame I'll get some pink grips. But I think the M16 grip is going to be fine.

Black looks better. Pink ones look like you tried to match it and failed*.

* I have three daughters so I'm an expert in matching shades of pink.

That's what I thought and was surprised when my wife a and daughter liked it. Of coarse my daughter is just shy of 2 years old LOL!

I'm not quite sure what you're after here. If you get 20 people that say they like the pink grips over the black grips, will you use them even if it's not really your first choice? Or vice versa? I think they both look horrible, but that shouldn't make the slightest bit of difference to you. Grips, just like anything else you put on your gun, are a personal preference. And the primary concern for grips should be how they feel, not how they look. You can't see anyone's grips when the paint is flying anyhow.

As far as polling on looks goes... I'm quite sure that if I asked everyone and their brother to vote on what they thought of my guns, I wouldn't have even close to the style of guns that make me happy. Decision by committee is never the best way to go, especially when that committee doesn't have a vested interest in what's being voted on. Find what's important and appealing to you. Screw what anyone else thinks - especially me!

Slim doesn't know what he's talking about. Here's what you do: send the gun to Tonsixers, get a sweet splash anno job, replace the grip with a 45 and some of those nice wood-rubber Pachmayr grips. Then send the gun to me along with a small handling fee of $5.

...and Slim thinks I don't have a vested interest in what I'm voting on!

It sounds like you prefer the look of black (ties it together with the pump and feed block), and the feel of the pink one, and neither fully satisfies you. So I vote for neither.
