The #6 won't work stock. It will not pass inside the TPC like the CCI one does and this will make it so the gun can't cock.

I honestly like the CCI internals better.

EDIT NOTE: I've spent years, and hundreds of dollars, and my best setup has only ever gotten 10-15 shots more than a stock Phantom, with the lions share of that improvement attributed to a barrel kit to size paint.

If you do want a #6 in your Phantom it will have to be shorten it to the same length as a CCI PT.

Just to tweek the OP's question, what if he used all Lapco internals?
Would they make the #6 work, and is there even an imaginary improvement over CCI?

You would need to use the Phantom sear still.

why would want to use different power tube in phantom. when mike went out of his way to make sure he built the best power tube you will ever need in the phantom. if there was better power tube out there. he would gone out and one even better then that one. he only puts what he thinks is best part that can be used. when people started to come out with undercocking kits for phantom. what did mike do go and make best undercocking you need.

A very old TPC from the earliest Phantoms might work with a #6 or other early numbered power tube. I had an early Phantom (I got it used) and the TPC was very short, not making contact with the power tube that was installed. I've never seen a TPC exactly like that one so I'm not certain it was an actual Phantom part.

The reason for numbered/sized power tubes was a way to adjust velocity. Old Line SI Bushmasters can have their valve body removed very easily. I once saw an SI on eBay that had a collection of power tube assemblies for just that purpose.

As for other nelson parts, the only one I know will work for certain with current Phantoms is a Lapco Fluted (lightened) hammer. Replace the sear with a Phantom sear and you can mess around with springing a lighter hammer in an effort to squeeze out a few more shots from your 12 gram.

Like others, I've placed Phantom internals inside Nelspots so I could create guns with adjustable velocity through the Phantom TPC.
