Is a CCI Revolution worth it? Really debating a trade for one, no one locally has a Revolution. I have mostly played with a S6 since 2009, have the itch to try out a phantom (I have 2 VSC phantoms...yes, I have issues)...always wanted to try out the Revolution since they have been out!

Advise? Are they consistent and reliable? Is the reg good?

I know with talking to Mike that he is trying to develop a way to make mag fed fsr for the phantom and the revolution is the platform he's going to use for it. He said that it's the most feasible platform he has for it with out making it a single shot loader. Don't know if that helps anything.

I spoke with Mike a few years back, at the time he wasn't planning on making any more Revolutions once his inventory ran out (I have no idea what he is up to now). Considering his commitment to quality and customer service I'd be surprised if it isn't a very good marker. I think the problem with the Phantom is it's really incredible for what it is. Let's face it he got a lot right. If you compare it with the other guns of it's day few were both as reliable and lightweight. If you compare with some of it's competitors in the last 10-15 years they were either very cheaply made or Carter. And many of them still weren't as reliable as the Phantom (I'm not counting RTR because it's basically a tricked out Phantom). I think a Phantom might be one of if not the best values in paintball and that might be why the Revolution has not sold well. Not for lack of interest, but the draw of the Phantom is hard to resist.

No more down the barrel velocity adjustment and you can cock it with one finger.

Revolution is very cool. If I played open class I would have kept mine because I think that is where it really excelled.

Met a guy with one at the classic, said his only issue was double feeds which, unlike the phantom, exploded in gun instead of sending two out the barrel. it happened often enough that he drilled into the breech to install a detent

that is strange since it has a breech insert system, unless he was using the a/c threaded breech (phantom threaded breech has inserts, a/c threaded breech does not).

In the world I see - you are stalking elk through the damp canyon forests around the ruins of Rockefeller Center. You'll wear leather clothes that will last you the rest of your life. You'll climb the wrist-thick kudzu vines that wrap the Sears Tower. And when you look down, you'll see tiny figures pounding corn, laying strips of venison on the empty car pool lane of some abandoned superhighway.

Using a force feed loader, and not returning the pump forward fast enough, can get you double feeds. Put some snap into the movement.
