Explain PHantom Terms

Could someone explain all the mods for phantoms?

I'm looking to get one soon.

So far, I've seen bucket changer and something like a ninjadave lever?

Also, how long does it take to change a 12g?

All the mods? We'd be here for a while.

A bucket changer is a device that allows you to use the 12 gram cartridges normally used for air guns. It consists of two parts, a piece that's threaded on both ends, one screws into your ASA, and the other screws into the 'bucket' which is a threaded tube with a closed end.

A lever changer uses the Dropout changer, which is a tube with a slot cut in the side for the cartridge to fall out, as opposed to unscrewing the bucket. The lever turns a cam that pushes the cartridge against a pierce pin. They were a limited production run, and they're pretty rare.

It takes anywhere from 3-10 seconds depending on how much you practice. I can do it in about 4 seconds with my Phantom.

Ho hum...

So what mods are the most useful?
Also, how long will it take with a standard quick changer?
And why Vert Air over Rear?
Sorry for all the questions

It's not so much the mods being useful, its more of a personal preference kinda thing. Like Sparta said it depends on how much you practice changing 12ies until you really know how long it takes, its different for everyone but expect somewhere around 5-6 seconds when you start. As for Vert air over back bottle many people like it more because its much easier to access the twelve gram changer. Quite a few people prefere back bottle over vertical though because having the twelvie at the back of the body balances the Phantom out better.

Well said,

Just learn your basic marker first then if you like it mod it.

Well, I'm trading my Sniper for a Phantom and I'm just trying to see what accessories I should look for as priorities.

I suppose I can just try and get a basic phantom with a stock and tubes. :/

You don't really upgrade a phantom you customize it.

12 grams and paint and the ability to have a good time. Only accessories you will ever need.

Imo , I don't use 12ies as much because I use my 9oz. Tank . Its cheaper for me to fill that tank than it is to buy a box of 12ies . Plus I use it for a stock as well , but yeah it all comes down to personnal preference . You just gotta try and see which one fits you best , and go with it
