Love how comfy the T handle is compared to the EZ grip. Much bigger, fits great in my hand. No matter what barrel you get you will be happy. I know Becc has both the normal CCM kit and the Deadly Winds kit with SS Freak inserts. She is more then happy with how both perform.

Also, with the inserts, because the top tube of the T2 is longer to accommodate the inserts, you may want to compensate with a shorter barrel.

There's no point in getting both. You'd then have two insert systems on a single gun.

The only thing I don't like about the integrated-inserts in the new upper is that you have a set of inserts that works with ONLY a single gun.

Meanwhile, I have a DW Fibur that I've had for years that has been on probably a dozen guns to date. I have inserts from .675 (one of Ty's brass ones) to .695.

If you want the DW, skip the upper tube. If you want the upper tube, skip the DW.

It would he like having two barrel kits on the gun at the same time. Instead, if you like the upper tube, and want a carbon fiber barrel, get a Stiffi barrel with a larger bore, and you'll be set.

Indeed, a stifi MF (metal free) would be lighter and cheaper.

The only issue I have with the insert body, involves broken paint. Sometimes balls and not perfect and might break in the barrel, other times you might accidentally double feed. Regardless of how it happens, chances are you will eventually have paint slathered throughout the barrel.

It seems like shooting through a break would be nearly impossible with this system. In addition I even worry about how difficult it will be to squeegee. Now I can just twist off my barrel (with 1 million annoying turns... gotta love cocker threads) run a swab through and play. With the new top tube, it seems like this will involve another step of cleaning the breach... possibly fumbling around with the sizer.

^Just speculation about a concern. Can anyone shed any light on dealing with broken paint on the new top tubes?

I can totally see where you're coming from LU aDaK, and I agree. It would probably take some creative ways to clean it mid game. Still a cool idea regardless.
