Mel is right of course. Any lube on the hammer will attract dirt and can cause issues - but I have never had this issue. However, I am not a snake player - nor do I play in sand or grime.

You know I just did something I swore I'd never do. I tried 12 grams on my T-2. I actually ran 4 of them through it. And the last one the gun just couldn't make velocity anymore. So when I got home I pulled the bolt out of it and because it was run pretty much dry as suggested by the Mel it was clean and dry, there was a film on the bolt that was kind of like when Cocacola gets spilled on something and gets sticky? Well after a quick buffing I put one drop of oil on my finger tip an ran that over the bolt. The gun is working perfectly now as it was before. Ya live and ya learn I guess. Feyd........

Feyd,

C02 powerlets are often mixed with a lubricant. It depends on the C02 powerlets - and some are, as you have found out, worse than others. I would clean the valve and reg as well.

I did clean the reg it had some gunk in it. I will get to the valve if it starts acting up. And the 12'ies were Leland's. So I thought those were supposed to be good. But ya stock class only day and I really wanted to use my T-2. My Bud Yoda runs a S-6.5 on them all the time and has no problem. At first I got almost 40 great shots before I saw a drop off, then at 47 the gun just stopped dead! Then the next one was good. The third only got 25 shots at best and the last didn't want to shoot for me any more. I'll never do that again! Feyd......................

the inconsistancy might have more to do w/ rebuilding the reg. should loosen up after a bit.

Ha, it was the hammer with the sticky stuff on it. The reg is fine. I shot it in the back yard and it's back at 280 give or take 2 or 3 FPS. Feyd.............

With a very clean, honed finish on your lower tube and a high polished S.S. hammer.

Remember - it is mostly running on annodizing. Not all parts are touching on the hammer - usually just the front and the back of the hammer - perhaps 1/16th of an inch total of the hammer rides on the body.

It causes no issue.
