One of the erly things we discussed for the sr1 was the pre charged air canisters from those air rifles

Pics are crap, but gives you an idea anyway. Still waiting on my glass and I need to grab some Gorilla Glue to finish the handguard but I'm happy with how it came out so far. I think I made the right decision with using the carbon fiber handguard and the cheap-o A2 stock- this thing is light as a feather! I'd really be surprised if I added more than 2 pounds or so to the weight of the bare receiver, if that... Should make hauling this up the "hill" at West Point a little easier lol...

I'm sure it'll get tweaked more over time, after all, this is ME we're talking about... But my goal was to just get it usable as soon as possible so that I can get out there and get shooting. I already have the DSG as my insane showpiece gun, I don't really need to make the SR1 into anything crazy. Besides, with FS round legality still in limbo at a lot of local fields this won't get to come out often enough to justify sinking a lot more cash into it. Not to mention needing that cash to buy the FS rounds themselves!

FS rounds are pretty cheap when you consider going through 40 in a days play. I suspect you will be surprised how inexpensive it is to play one ball at a time while your counterparts are playing case a game.

Say can you cut that hand guard down a bit or will it damage the CF? I think your smart getting it playable out the gate. I'm still getting mine together.
