A/T part questions

The black A/T arm is off of my SS-25, What does the polished arm go to? Notice the position of the flat spot on the cam!

Why is this frame not machined on both sides for the A/T arm?

Thanks for the help!!
Rick

I can see what your saying about the A/T, I have never seen that before.... I'm interested to find what that is all about.

1) The arms are the same - the cams are machined differently for different frames. One for .45 degree frames and the other for .86 degree frames.

2) There is no exit hole in the later produced frames by CCM as they were not needed after the alignment pin was created.

In short, you have two different cams - one fits one type of frame and the other fits another.

The arm can be used on any marker - the correct cam must be used.

Actually the cams are the same. The levers are drilled in different different positions for the hinge and slider frames.

No Stay Home - just checked - the cams are different - the arms are the same.

This point is moot however - as CCM has changed the cams - the don't have pins anymore.

I wonder if they had two different designs? I swear when we were at CCM Rod said the only diffence in a slider and hinge a/t assembly was the arm. I'll try and verify this when I get home since I have both.

They may have - but I have only seen one kind - and I have used CCM's since 2003 - had a slider, and every version of the hinge since 2003 - and teched a few dozen arms to full disassembly before - and I just verified in my garage. But I reserve the right to be wrong and would love to learn - let me know what you find.

Hey TF! Sorry for the crappy lighting pictures but it's 4:30a right now. lol
The silver slider a/t arm I have is drilled in the 6-12 o'clock position, where as the hinge a/t arm is at the 4-10 o'clock position. And as you notice from the second pic. both cams look identical. I did notice that the slider a/t arm is slightly longer too. I'm kind of interested in seeing pics of your a/t assemblies. Aloha, Barry

I swear I have NEVER seen a AT arm with the holes in line with the AT Arm. What is that off of?
