Removing AT set screw from pump arm Anybody have a trick for removing the AT set screw from a pump arm. I just bought a pump kit and the little set screw won't budge. It actually rounded of my Allen wrench. I tried heat already. Gotta go see if I have a small enough ezout. |
Were are talking about the AT shoulder screw that holds the AT arm to the pump rod correct? If you have already rounded an allen key, you might as well clamp the thing into a vice, twist it off, and order a new screw. I really liked the old style AT shoulder screws that had the side holes where you could slide an allen key through it and use it for leverage. A nice torch also works wonders :) |
There was a small set screw in the hole. I have to remove that so I can connect the AT arm with the soldier screw. It takes the smallest Allen wrench, .05 or whatever it is. |
