Maintenance - smoothing out the pump action on a T2?

I noticed today, performing a basic cleaning of my T2, that the pump action felt a bit stiff. I haven't used the marker in a few months, so I was wondering if there was anything that I should do (or can do) to to smooth out the pump action?

Advice would be helpful. Thanks!

polish all moving parts, guide rod and internals. and try to clean out the hole in the pump handle. i sometimes get dirt in there and it can make it feel gritty.

Also clean out the holes on the side of the body the pump rods travel through. A Q-tip is your friend. A good cleaning goes a long way to fixing most problems.

It is a T2. Be sure that the two screws in the back of the back block are adjusted properly. If they are not even they can put a can't on the bolt and cause a stiff pump stroke.

I cleaned everything up & put new locktight on the pump handle screws....seems to have fixed the issue.

Thanks everyone.
