Possible Missouri Pump/Pistol Woodsball Game (Close to STL)


Hey guys, I'm trying to test the waters to see if there is any interest in an all pump/pistol scenario game. The field would be at Smak Zone Paintball located just outside of Patterson, Missouri. It is a great scenario field with some of the coolest bases around (See pictures below). The owner and operator of this field, Mark Miles, is willing to do this event as long as enough people would come to cover the costs of the game. He most likely will not make any money at an event like this, but he is willing to make it happen anyways for the love of the game. It could possibly be bring your own paint event. The field also promotes safe and fair play. Taken straight from the website:

Safety is number one here as it should be at every field. Unsafe players and cheaters are ejected post-haste. If you are a wiper, hit ignorer, whiner, ect. you are simply not welcome here. If you like to bend the rules, don't come here. There are not necessarily three strikes for cheaters and unsafe players here. If you do something blatantly stupid or against the rules, it may be the only chance you ever get. Honest players don't want to play with cheaters. Cheaters don't even want to play with cheaters. We don't like having to deal with them, but when we do, it is generally unpleasant and definitive. That is why we stress, DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU ARE AN UNSAFE PLAYER OR CHEATER. But if you want to have a great time and fellowship with other players who are of the same frame of mind, this is the field and these are the games for you.

The game format would probably consist of two teams: attacking and defending certain bases, running missions, etc.


I need to know if people in the area are willing to make a drive for an event if he were to host it. The drive is about 2 hours from St. Louis, about 3 hours from Springfield, MO, and about 5 ½ hours from Kansas City.


Right now we are looking at a late fall or early winter 2007 date, most likely in October or November. We are also considering an late winter, early spring date, maybe in February or March 2008.


Please let me know if you are interested and we can make this happen. If we get enough interest, we can start nailing down details.


Please leave feedback on if you are interested, willing to make the drive, and what time of year you would like to play or be able to play, and whether you'd like a 1 or 2 day game.

I've been wanting to visit Smak Zone for a long time. I am interested in playing, but also in taking pictures/video of such an event. I can also drum up some interest from the locals in southeastern Illinois and the St. Louis area.

You know Ill be there bro.

Guys, dont hesitate to make a drive for this game. My team drives six hours, which is far longer than it would take me to get to OK D-Day, to get to this field. The players are top notch, and Mark is probably the best field owner/operator that I have ever talked to. The field itself is awesome. The bases are almost all multi level, with trench systems worked into a few.

Check it out, you wont regret it.

Yo! I would be up for it, hopefully you can get alot of people, becase a scenario with less than 40-50 isnt very fun. FYI, I was planning on doing the FPE, in early October, So any time before or after that would be cool with me!

Okay, sounds like Nov. 17th is the date right now. Should be enough time between FPE and this. Hopefully we'll be able to get a few people from FPE to come to this event. It probably wouldn't be a full scale scenario, but probably a bunch of small stages battles so all the people would be shooting it out in the same vicinity.
