Houston Pro Shops?

I've been out of the game for a while, so forgive me. Are there any real paintball stores left in houston? I used to frequent Paintball Gear Store and Paintball Maxx, but it seems as if both of these places has dried up. COmmand post is far from where I live, so whats out there?

Also, what are some good stores in the Austin area?

In Houston, there is a store that's simply called The Paintball Store on 1960, but I STRONGLY advise against them. Their prices are more inflated than a hot-air balloon. I paid $50 for a set of $25 V-Force Vantage goggles. Ridiculous. I suggest just sticking to the internet, like Paintball at ActionVillage.com : Paintball Guns, Gear, Paintballs, Barrels, Goggles and Equipment. (PaintballGear.com).

sorry late to the game here, Yeah PBMaxx has been gone for like 2 years now, bought out 4 or 5 years ago, moved locations 3 years ago and shut down within a year of moving, I do believe that is part of what left Brad in the lurch for current projects that he had.

there are only three options for paintball stores in houston, Tanks Katy Paintball has a pro shop, #1PB has a good proshop, and Command Post has two paintball stores one in pasadena and one on the west side with a small airball field next to it.

Don you should check this place out and see if it's worth a crap. Take the KP to see if they even know what it is or just give you blank stares.

Oooh, tempting.

"Hey, I need a valve tool for this, and a face seal for the C/A adapter to seal against."

"Uhhh, we don't service custom-builds..."

Edit: I may just go out there. That's right by where my mom works!

Its also right by where I work, which is 290 and 610. Ill check it out tomorrow after work, ill drive right by it on my way to Bastrop.

By the way, I would never trust any store to 'troubleshoot' or repair any of my guns, new or old. With the wealth of information available on this site alone I don't think any shop could do any better than I (we) could.

E-...what? lol

I stopped by the shop on my way to bastrop, its a pretty nice place. They have the normal assortment of tippmanns and a few higher end guns on the wall, a decent spread of little parts for all different kinds of guns, all the macroline and steel braided hoses you could ever need, as well as a "box of old parts" the owner hasn't gone through yet he said was in the back. If you need a part, it might be worth it to stop by and ask about it. Apparently he bought most of his parts from paintball maxx when they closed. Im not sure if he knew anything about older guns, but whenever I mentioned something he showed interest and didn't say anything like 'you have to pump it EVERY TIME?'

I bought a 45/45 for my new micro while I was there, he gave me a discount when I bought a cover with it and guaranteed to fix it himself or replace it completely if anything goes wrong with the valve. He's still getting everything set up, Im thinking this is going to be a very nice place once everything is put together.

Best of all, free stickers!! I put them on my laptop and now its faster.
