TPX 12g delete mod for remote kits

So I had planned on running a remote on my TPX from the start. What I didn't know is that you needed an empty 12g in there to keep the air in. That means that there are also 4 seals that could leak, including the 12g face seal. Not to mention every time you air up, you are essentially refilling that 12g, something that has been shot down on its own every time somebody brings it up.

So, I came up with this:

As you can see, it eliminates the front-side tube hole, and potentially everything in front of it. The problem is that it didn't work. I had everything dead on, but the thread was angled just a touch. Everything is so tight inside the pistol that I just couldn't get the remote adapter to thread in. Eventually I just gave up, and was pretty pissed that 2 hours of machining and an hour of tinkering was wasted. So I went to bed.

As soon as my head hit the pillow I realized I was making things way too hard. This is what came to mind instantly:

And here is the difference:

Everything stays in the gun, including the empty 12g (to keep the cap from falling off) but nothing to the front of the T sees air because it's blocked. Just tested it and it seals perfectly and I'm very happy with this. Took a lot less than 3 hours to get together too.

Thanks guys. If I made a few more would people be interested? I'll start another thread to sell them in, but I'd guess about $12 shipped would be about right.

I would be, but you know that. Also, post up in the Tippmann and Sidearm sections of the Armory.

So, if one installs one of those, does he still need the empty 12g or can one just install it and be happy?

You don't really NEED it, but it helps to keep the 12g cap from being loose. That's how mine is.
