I want one if it works, video please!

I'm assuming from your sig that if this one works you may be planning on building and selling some to the public? I may be very interested. Great work!

Overdue update.
I took it to the Resident Evil game at Three Rivers Paintball in Freedom Pa on 10/29. I messed around with it briefly at the chrono area. It cycled great and worked well in full auto. I have no idea what the velocity was, yes I was using a siphon tank, I didn't chrono it. I was more interested in seeing if it would cycle. unfortunately, I missed a burr in the barrel from when I ported it so it was breaking paint like crazy in the barrel.

Over Christmas break I'm planing on tweaking it some more.

Here's a 60 cal version I once had. I was modding it look like a l34a1 sterling smg.

It never happened.

I converted it to .50 cal paint .......... but the sear wore out before the paint arrived.

I considered trying to convert a .62 SMG to .50... your's looks real nice, though I'm hesitant about that remote line.

On topic, if these .68 cal ones begin production, it would be really nice if they were semi-auto capable or available in either semi or full auto versions.

Question: How did the homemade semi/full auto select fire triggers that were made for these things back in the day work? I've always been curious of the mechanism.

I just picked up a factory FA. When i get the chance I'm going to gut it so i can clean it. As far as I know its one of the only mechanical selectors out there. If i can reproduce that easily Id be happy to share the design with Riot and start incorporating them into my own conversions. There is also someone else who was supposed to be doing a run of selector switches that could be installed in any SMG or 68 special.

I remember that the smg60s were full auto, and the 68s were semi, so people would swap triggers to get full auto 68s. But there were also some clever users that put together select fire triggers. I dunno if the cannibalized one of each gun and combined them or modded one or the other. I'll see if I can find one.

I'm really glad you didn't abandon this idea two years ago. I will try to throw up a design on a drum mag if you're using the SMG-60 mags. Snail drums anyone?
