You could probably use this as your dump chamber, and run the lpr out of one of the ports.

If you don't want the front grip, this might be the way to go. Run a volumizer/dump chamber into the valve like the one I pictured, but use a female stabilizer as your ASA.

I don't think a tank extender would add enough volume to be a dump chamber.

I am thinking about just making a dump chamber myself with a 1/8" npt hole in the top and the ASA threads in the bottom. I'll have to look up and buy the tap for the ASA, but then I can just screw whatever reg I want into it.

Why not just buy a minicocker ASA or other ASA to 1/8 adapter (Palmer's has a few). A minicocker ASA and then a reg extender would make a pretty nice dump valve.

the ASA in question

Again, and I might be wrong, but I don't think you'll get enough volume out of that.

If I don't I can always just use an expansion chamber and a palmers female hpr. I don't want to go that route, but I can if I have to.

Also this design doesn't appear to have a way to seal the dump chamber after firing, could be inefficient.
I realized that without the power tube and other parts inside of the clamshells there is actually a lot of room inside of a tippmann body. Just a hair under 7" long and .9000 diameter. This design wouldn't just drop in without modifications to the body, but it does have a way to seal the dump chamber. I am just doing research, getting opinions and working out my own quirks with the whole deal before I start trying to mock up, measure and possibly manufacture something this complicated. I have the resources to manufacture something like this, I just want to get this thing as well developed as possible before I start manufacturing.

Does anyone know how big the expansion chamber should be? I honestly don't have a clue.

You need approximately 200 cubic inch pounds of energy to launch a paintball at 300 fps.

Examples:

Automag - .55 cubic inches @ 400 ish PSI = ~200 cubic inch pounds

Mini - ~1 cubic inch @ 200 ish PSI

Axe - Similar to Mini.
