Anodizing options.

Im looking to get these parts anodized in polished black, plus a barrel back. its 16 pieces. I was quoted at 275 by one anodizer but that sounds way overpriced to me. What are my other options, who is taking work right now.

Thanks

You can check out FX Anno or Caustic Customs both are on FB and do awesome work, and honestly the quoted price you received sounds like the cheapest it's going to get

Anodizers often give a quote for the job based on the number of pieces getting done

Really? i always thought for a basic color like black you could get a whole marker done up for around 150$ I will contact fx ano and see what he says.

On a good ano job, any solid color is not a big factor. Anodizers tend to keep "basic" black around more often, and you might pay extra for other colors just because they charge for keeping the extra dye bath. It doesn't change the labor or other processes. The fancier the ano setup, the less attention it needs, but then you have to pay for equipment instead of time. A fully equipped ano line is easier to run so it will have fewer problems, especially for the flawless finish that is usually expected.

Good luck getting ahold of FX. I messaged them on facebook and got Mario got me his email. I wanted 1 gun done asap, and two more after. No response for weeks. I would message them on FB first and see if they are taking work.

FX was pretty cheap though.

I used Ano-Tech in California a year or so ago with decent results. The anodizing was good, but they did lose a small part. I heard the same from another member that used them. They are very reasonable though. Think for 10 pcs or so it was $110 polished black.

Yea I'm pretty sure ATMF is the cheapest around. If I remember right they don't charge for part count, just for what you want done.

That said they screwed up my RDL royally. But I've also seen some really amazing stuff come out of them.
