well to hide the wire you could always jbweld epoxy it to the side of the hopper like they did with predator'd and ace'd angel eyes.

I think that's what I am going to do. Maybe even just a bead of silicone. I tried to put the battery and board into a small box but this was the lowest profile setup I could come up with with the tools at hand.

Here's the basic idea. It's done for robots all the time.
How to modify a servo motor for continuous rotation ( One motor walker robot )

You basically are converting a fixed range servo into a free spinning one. Google "Continuous servo mod" for more links.

You should be able to find a cheap 1/18th scale steering servo to modify. The trick will be to have an impeller that fits the axle on he servo. I got lucky and the revvy impeller fit the traxxas servo. There's 2-3 different shapes I think.

i have been playing mine out, and that's what i was thinking as to the hiding solution for the wires. but i still haven't planned a hide for the battery or servo. what servo is that one? not the typical revy one..

Search Ebay for Micro servo and you will find a ton in the size I used.
