| Legendary Join Date: Feb 2009 Location: California | I wrote a big article about the Matrix
Hi. Some of you here know me as a snooty know-it-all jerk who babbles incessantly about obscure Matrix information and occasionally posts high res pictures of stuff. A few of you know that I have been piecing together all the data I can on the Matrix and organizing it into coherent articles. A select few of you have been part of the interview process. I am pleased to announce that the first revision is now online and available for your viewing pleasure. This is still very much a work-in-progress and I expect it to be revised heavily in its future. The intention is for this to be a one-stop-shop for any and all Matrix information. Every question about the gun should ideally be answered somewhere within. Enough foreplay. May I present to you the articles: Complete History: The Complete Matrix - History & IDs - PB Legion Technical Data: The Complete Matrix - Technical Data, Maintenance, and Performance - PB Legion Discussion/Feedback: Post Here with New Info For The Matrix Thread - PB Legion This was all done as a hobby in my spare time. This is MCB, so I think you can all empathize being fascinated with a particular gun. I really really like these guns. Enjoy. |

Thats neat. I didn't know it was named after the movie. No mention of the name "E-Matrix". I remember that originally, the plan was to sell a mech "Matrix", and also a higher end "E-Matrix" that was the electro version. The idea was that the mech Matrix could be priced as a mid level gun, since you didn't really have any mid-level guns until the BKO, then mech Matrix owners would eventually uprade "up" towards the high end E-Matrix model. But right as they were gearing up for production, they realized there was no market for a non-electro "mid level" gun, and the mech line was dropped. The first run of the electro still had the "E-Matrix" name, until it was eventually dropped as well. Since the original mech Matrix/Omega had a pneumatic trigger, it might have done real well with the anti-electro crowd. Its a very common mod on the similar ION
