yeah, bolt stays forward with a ball already in the barrel. when you pull the trigger the gun shoots it with air, then (ideally when the trigger gets pulled slightly more) the gun pulls the bolt back, lets a ball drop in, then when you release the trigger the bolt pushes that ball into the barrel ready for your next shot.

think of a pump gun where the trigger does both the firing and pumping.

ok thanks for you help guys. im finding some pretty cheap cockers on techpb for like 175, 200, around that price range. hopefully ill be able to get one soon!

You're better off looking here, most people here know how to maintain them unlike some "other" forums.

im thinkin that if i can get a vid that it shoots good, if i have the moneyill buy it then come over here and ask how to maintain it and i am gonna clean it etc before itake it on the field for the first time.
