Installing Hitman mod on CCM Pump Kit

Hey guys, I am having a bit of trouble with this thing. The guide rod doesn't want to come out. (where I have to take out the guide plate and put the rod on the hitman guide plate) It looks like it is threaded, but I am not 100% sure. Also the pump kit comes with a spring (goes on the little rod) but the hitman mod comes with a spring as well. I'm assuming you put it on the middle (Bigger rod of the pump) so it will have 2 springs? Alas, every picture I've seen has only 1 spring.

The extra spring is probably a heavier return spring to use the hitman mod easier with, in case the CCM one isn't heavy enough to completely return to bolt forward. It shouldn't take much heat to break the loctite, just make sure you don't melt the pump handle. A few quick passes with your torch should do the trick.

I removed the guide plate (what the rod connects to) from the pump handle.

How long should I add the heat to it?

Debating if adding the hitman handle will be worth it. I ordered the Team Hooptie Deluxe version that costs 19 bucks lol

Is it really necessary to have loctite on it anyway? As in I should add it to hitman mod?

I haven't had an issue with a pump rod backing out, but it certainly wouldn't hurt to have. As for heat, just a few quick passes for 5-10 seconds should probably do it, then try to back the rod out again. If it still doesn't move, an easy way to remove the rods without damage is to get a somewhat thick piece of rubber (a rubber glove should be thick enough) and wrap it around the rod, then use a pair of pliers to turn it. The rubber should give you a good grip as well as protect the rod from the pliers.

Should I think about NOT adding the hitman mod or is the hitman mod the **** and worth every penny to put it on there?

Depends on how you play really, if you like to play high-and-tight, hand on the reg after you pump, the hitman mod will make it easier to pump from there. If you don't mind keeping your hand on the pump handle or going to the reg after each pump then you may not need it. I personally haven't used one, since it doesn't fit my style of play, lol.

I haven't played since 2001-2002 so I have no style. I test shot one of my friend's markers and they laughed at me and they took it and shot with 2 fingers rapidly on a double trigger.

I just don't want to mess it up. The CCM pump kit is expensive, I paid $79 for it.

Be a man and pump with your arm and hand.... not just your fingers!
