certainly sounds like all hype, but since I'm not paying for any of this, I might as well keep listening...

I think it's safe to say that this will be largely hype, even if there is anything real behind it.

Seems however that more and more companies are opening up the check books for paintball R and D, it may be a matter of time before something real comes of it.

Here's the patent info on it.
WATER BASED PAINTALL AND METHOD FOR FABRICATING WATER BASED PAINTBALLS - Patent application

Sounds decent if they can actually do what the patent says.

They have a blank placeholder page (here) and I don't recognize the gear the paintball player is using, but I would put that down as "usagi just doesn't pay that close of attention to the industry any more" rather than that's what they're going to be making.

But hype? Yeah, always some degree of hype in anyone's sales pitch. Be interesting to see what they're making to deserve so much hype, and if it lives up to even a fraction of that potential.

I understood so very little of what I read there. I got 2 shells and glowing, not a lot more than that. Too much legal and tech speak for me.

Sounds like a paintball that starts glowing when it breaks on target. Interesting for sure. But game changing? I have my doubts. Now a seamless, high precision paintball at a competetive price, that would be game changing.

It looks like a Tippmann Carver One with a basic gravity feed hopper and what appears to be BT Avatars?
