is the first talking about pre-application? and it makes sense to not rub with coarse objects, the dirt and grime would scrape it off

paper towel is fairly coarse and should never be used with your lens unless you really don't give a **** and like buying one or two lenses a year (I know I do!)

I agree with the first part, but according to the manufacturer your supposed to replace your lense at least once a year.

oh yea I guess thats why I do it, yea. or maybe because it's scratched to **** from dropping it on the ground all the time

(i meant that I do replace my lenses a lot... they get a lot of hours though. I'm gonna start buying em 10 at a time now since several teammates have taken up the I4 as well)
