If There Could Only Be One...

If the entire paintball industry had to convert and only use one gun (aka marker) what would be the best choice and why?

CCM Fan
Pro/Carbine.

Simple, rock solid, actually well machined, and shot great.

No one could be an overshooting douchebag, even if they wanted to.

Cockers of any variation. Such a wonderful platform.

I've got a friend who's been accused multiple times of overshooting with his P68SC... You all know him as Ratzo

I'll be the third, cockers, or maybe the 2k-2k3 LCD platform angels.

+1
I think it would be the only marker that would allow us to keep around all styles of play. Just think of all the possible configurations. Electro, pump, stock class, mechanical, pneuframe, double barrel, Mq valve, warp feed, bolt action, open bolt

plus they're relatively high efficiency, not terribly heavy, you can halfblock, midblock, mini, and midget them till they weight practically nothing. Trilogies and Sr's let you get those pneumatics from hanging off the front...not to mention that CCM gets to stay in business

that and I'm just a sucker for that csh-chuck sound that a cocker makes

If everyone went to a 'cocker, that could be a 25 BPS face mower or a pump gun...

I vote the SC Phantom. So cheap and they shoot so well.

You answered your own question.

I think that much of this thread is going to be a "what's your favorite gun" discussion. But I would argue that AKA markers would be a good choice. Extremely efficient, uber-strict tolerances, built like tanks, and very little maintenance required.

I agree with what's been said about cockers too. They can be converted to whatever playing type you choose (electro, mech, pump, etc). So really, you're getting every type of gun with just the one platform.
