Azodin Kaos-D major problem

So since there is no Azodin Armory section........

So went to use my Kaos-D today and noticed a very slight leak in the breach. Waved it off as a oring probably and used another gun today. Well, just got around to tinkering with it. Took it all apart and all orings look perfectly fine. So threw some oil on them. Aired it up, still had the breach leak. Took one shot, it emptied all 1,500psi in my tank in under 10 seconds.....yeah....help?

Sounds like it could be the valve. Maybe the Zero system isn't resetting the poppit like it should?

Or the cup seal on the valve isn't seating properly. Clean it real good, don't oil it real heavily, and dry fire it 10 to 15 times, see if that doesn't work for you.

Did put a thin layer of oil on the orings and dry fired w/out air. Took it apart again, thinking maybe the orings got blown out after pushing out that much air, but, looked fine still. Guess ill have to give in and get a oring kit and replace them and see. Im at a loss otherwise what it could be.

What pressure are you running at? Those balanced valves are usually setup to run at a pretty low pressure and tend to do odd things when over pressured.

I haven't had much experience with the Azodin regulators, but the Spyder VS2 had a similar valve (though a different layout, balanced at the front of the valve pin instead of at the back), and had really crappy regulators. Most of the issues with those were fixed by putting a better reg on the thing.

Put my CP on it, no difference.

I've never fixed a Kaos-D, but I have worked with a few of their other guns. The valves can be touchy, like Fubarius said. I usually replace both the valve body orings, clean the bottom edge of the poppet that contacts the valve body and then put some tri-flo on it. Usually helps.

Did Azodin actually name part of their gun the Zero System? Nerds.

Just got off the phone with an Azodin tech. Turned the zero spring in 3 turns, good to go. He said that he wasnt really sure why it happened. Said it usually only happens when someone mods the spring or using co2, neither of which I did. But fixed now :)

Same thing happened to me

So on the back of the gun where you adjust the FPS the gun shoots at, you tighten the outside of it, or the inner circle thing? Sorry im kinda new to this gun :P
