I don't know how many paintball players there are in California, and how many of them are voters or will become voters by the next election cycle, but if they keep this up, I do hope it's enough to end the terms of senators coming up with and supporting this garbage. If anything, the good that comes out of a situation like this is that people become more aware of how government works. My hope is that they learn how important it is that they put some effort into learning and participating in the process, as well as thinking about the results of their decisions in what matters to them most.

May I just say paintball and airsoftshould look at the vcra of the UK and how paintballers and airsofters fought it

here's link to the bill info. the most recent one has cross out all description and simply wants to repeal government code 53071.5.

here's penal code 16250, it does state "spot marker."

so they really are trying to include paintball with it. they are just trying to repeal an exception that protected paintball guns.

If a toy gun was orange,yellow,blu or red when sold? What is stopping someone from painting it black? Are the going to ban black paint next.

i think the bigger problem is what if a criminal paints a real gun orange.

Or people, especially kids, treat toy colored paintball markers and airguns as toys instead of the respecting them for the amount of injury that can be inflicted if they are not treated with the same safety and respect like real guns.
