So I get to the field today for our couples night of paintball I set up for the wife's b-day, and my DM5 airs up fine... but my automag blows a hole in it's macro line...

I can't believe my bad luck as I replace the macro fitting (It blew a piece off of it) and cut off an inch. I stick the macroline into the new fitting, turn the air back and and blam! it blows again!

WTF!?!?!? I am pissed now, because my wife has to use my backup 98C now, instead of the mag she likes, and I don't know what the hell is going on with my guns.

Later in the night, after we are home from a super day of paintball, it occurs to me... all three times, it was the same tank. One I bought without a reg and had a used reg put onto. The DM5 was the first time I tried to use it. The two mag macroline explosions were the second and third time I tried to use it. What are the chances that this reg isn't working right and allowing far greater than 900psi into the macroline, thereby blowing it up every time?

That would be my guess. I understand that some regs allow higher pressure through anyhow, like the Crossfire HP (red) reg. (I haven't done anything to verify that, so take it with a grain of salt.)

That... and macroline sucks.

Yeah... I'd have that tank reg checked.

Then change out all macroline and fittings for braided steel hose. *teehee*

I try to use stainless steel braided lines whenever I can. The only non-ss line I have is on my Sterling, but as soon as I find a ss piece to fit....

You were very lucky with the line blowing, but do pay a visit to your local doctor to get the finger checked out!

...Stock DM hose is rated for LP... about 450psi... its no wonder you macrw blew.

I like Macro more than SS, but no LP I always Go HP
